City Hall will open to the public next week, however, Dayton officials encourage people to continue to interact remotely or online.

The building will reopen beginning at 8 a.m. Monday after it was closed to the public since March 18 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Many city employees are working from home, and offices are maintaining social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The city is asking that people go to daytonohio.gov/update2020 for information about contacting city departments and programs. Appointments are suggested for some service needs.

People may enter City Hall at the Ludlow Street entrance only, and must wear masks or face coverings, as is required by city law. Those without masks will be provided one, and there will be screenings with temperature checks. Those who require ADA accommodation may use the third floor entrance, accessible from the the Municipal Parking Garage at 123 W. Third St., according to a release from the city.

At Dayton’s One Stop Center (371 W. Second St.) public access will be available only at the Second Street door, the city said.

Water/waste collection bills may be paid online at paydaytonwater.com, or at CVS and Family Dollar stores. Walk-in service is available from 8 am. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at City Hall.

The city said it continues to practice public health guidelines limiting public gatherings or meetings to 10 or fewer individuals. Public meetings including City Commission meetings will continue to be conducted remotely until further notice, with many meetings available for viewing live at daytonohio.gov/govtv.
