Dayton Dragons, Kettering Health Network to host Public Safety Day

Kettering Health Network will be hosting a free Public Safety Day this weekend on the Plaza at Fifth Third Field before the Dragons game.

The touch-a-truck event will take place Sunday, July 14 and allows members of the community to recognize the area’s police, fire and EMS departments and get up-close with their vehicles.

From 12 to 2:30 p.m., the public can enjoy these following activities:

  • Explore special displays featuring a fire truck, ambulance, SWAT vehicles, K-9 units, police cruisers, motorcycles and more
  • Children will receive free plastic firefighter hats (while supplies last), get their face painted, experience a bronze fireman entertainer, a fire truck bounce house and more
  • All attendees can spin the wheel of health and visit numerous health fair booths hosted by Kettering Health Network services
  • The Dragons Green Team and mascots, Heater and Gem, will be roaming the event and interacting with those in attendance
