Road construction will continue into the fall on a state project on Ohio 741 north of the Dayton Mall in Miamisburg.

The Ohio Department of Transportation’s $3 million work is just north of Ohio 725, one of the busiest intersections in the Dayton area.

The work includes improved storm drainage, pedestrian access, sidewalk installation, traffic signal upgrades and asphalt resurfacing to Bauer Elementary School.

Traffic is being maintained throughout construction with occasional turn lane restrictions and lane closures through the corridor, according to the city.

Traffic signal modifications along the corridor are underway, including a rebuild of the 725/741 signal with mast arms and additional overhead signage, according to Miamisburg City Engineer Bob Stanley.

Significant storm drainage, curb, gutter and sidewalk, and roadway work is complete on the east lanes of the corridor, he added.

Traffic maintenance has shifted and similar reconstruction work is underway on the west lanes of Ohio 741. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of the year, according to Stanley.
