The charges are in connection to the 8:30 p.m. March 31 crash on Westbrook Road just past Wellbaum Road that caused serious injuries to 65-year-old Virginia Steinhauser of Brookville, according to court documents and a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office crash report.

Sams was headed west on Westbrook Road when the silver 2002 Pontiac Grand Am he was driving went left of center and into the path of Steinhauser’s silver 2009 Toyota Corolla headed in the opposite direction.
