A 28-year-old Dayton man accused of beating a woman after escaping from his electronic ankle monitor while out on bond for a different crime pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Travion D. Montgomery was arraigned on a felonious assault charge in the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Bond was set at $500,000 with 10 percent allowed, according to court documents.

Montgomery was out on bond and electric home detention program from a March 6 robbery at the time of the Aug. 31 assault.

Meinakola McLemore was found face-down and unresponsive on the basement floor of a Westwood Avenue home in Dayton.

She also reportedly had severe swelling to her face and head.

Montgomery reportedly slipped the monitor on Aug. 2, with the court issuing a warrant for his arrest on Aug. 6.
