Dayton shooting victim to be laid to rest today

A Vandalia woman and a mother of two killed in a shooting in Dayton’s Oregon District will be laid to rest today.

Lois Oglesby, 27, was described a “wonderful mother, a wonderful person” who “loves her kids unconditionally” by a friend.

Oglesby was in nursing school and looking forward to her career.

A celebration of life will be today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Phillips Temple of Church in Trotwood. Funeral services will follow the celebration of life at the church.

Burial will take place after the services in Woodland Cemetery.
