Dell donation to Trotwood provides computer access to tornado survivors

A Trotwood resident, James Martin, who works as a Dell account executive, was instrumental in coordinating this contribution, city leaders said.

“We are grateful for Dell Computer and our longtime Trotwood citizen, Mr. James Martin. Their contribution will help with our long-term recovery and will also assist us with the 2020 Census count, Trotwood Mayor Mary A. McDonald said in a release.

The 2020 Census requires computer access to complete, and the city said it will use these donations to eliminate that obstacle for Trotwood residents.

City officials said is imperative that every Trotwood resident (even those living in temporary housing) is counted as a Trotwood resident in the Census. This determines demographics that are used for development/investment in the community for the next 10 years.
