WATCH: Domestic violence suspect strips during arrest in Mercer County

A man wanted for an alleged domestic violence incident at a Mercer County bar led authorities on a wild chase during which his vehicle all but fell apart from damage to crashes.

Mitchell Dale Mullins, 41, of Rockford, is being held in the Mercer County Jail on suspicion of OVI, domestic violence, resisting arrest and a stop sign violation, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Mercer County deputies and officers from Coldwater, St. Henry and Celina attempted to stop the suspect as he was driving a 2000 Lincoln on Ohio 703 because he was wanted regarding a domestic incident earlier that evening at a local bar, according to the release.

The suspect crashed into a wall at the bar then proceeded to crash at a nearby Kozy Kampground where his vehicle sustained heavy damages and lost one of the wheels, according to the release.

Parts of the suspect’s vehicle were falling off before he was stopped with tire deflation devices by Celina police at U.S. 127 and Monroe Road, according to the release.

Authorities tell us Mullins took off all his clothes before he was apprehended and after his arrest he managed to slip out of the handcuffs. The suspect then resisted and officers used a Tazer to subdue him, according to the release.

Mullins was checked for injuries at a local hospital before he was booked into jail, where he is being held on $750,000 bond.
