Driver jailed on OVI charge after rear-end crash in Centerville-Washington Twp.

One driver was taken to jail on an OVI charge in a rear-end collision in Centerville-Washington Twp. that sent the other driver to a hospital, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.

The driver of a Ford Fusion headed south on Dayton Lebanon Pike (state Route 48) is accused of failing to maintain assured clear distance in smacking the rear of a Honda Odyssey at East Social Row Road just after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of the Odyssey suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision and was taken to Southview Hospital by Washington Twp. medics.
