Early morning showers break up for some sun today

We may see scattered showers in the early morning, but by daybreak we should just see mostly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. During the day the clouds will gradually break for some sun, with a high near 57 degrees.

Tonight, the skies will stay mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to around 36 degrees.

Tomorrow, we will be in for some more sun, with a high near 65 degrees. We will also be in for some windy conditions, especially picking up in the afternoon.

That night, we will have a chance for some showers, especially after midnight. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with lows around 45 degrees.

Those showers will carry into Friday, coming to an end in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with highs near 53 degrees.

Overnight on Friday, temperatures will drop below freezing to around 31 degrees, leading to some patchy frost after 3 a.m. that will carry into Saturday morning.
