According to Elliott, research indicates that one in 10 elderly people may experience some type of abuse and that only one in five cases are reported to authorities. Elder abuse includes neglect, financial, psychological, emotional, verbal, sexual or physical abuse, threats, exploitation or abandonment.
Services that are to be provided include medical, nursing and therapy services if needed, meals, legal services, social work, pastoral care and social, recreational and educational programming.

Dog licenses on sale online, at area stores
Warren County dog licenses are on sale now through Jan. 31.
The cost is $15 for regular tags; $20 for bone-shaped tags that include a $5 donation to the Humane Association of Warren County for its spay and neuter fund; and $75 for kennel tags. Kennel tags, which include five tags — each additional tag is $1 — are available only at the Warren County Auditor’s Office, 406 Justice Drive, Lebanon.
After Jan. 31, there is a penalty fee of $15 for regular and bone tags and $75 for kennel tags.
Tags can be ordered online at co.warren.oh.us/auditor.
Bone-shaped tags are available online, at the auditor’s office, Humane Association, Ace Hardware in Lebanon and Springboro Hardware.
