A vehicle was heading south on South Edwin C. Moses Boulevard while in a drag race with another vehicle when the driver lost control, spun sideways 90 degrees and struck a building sign in front of St. Vincent de Paul Community Store, according to Dayton police.
Crews initially responded to the Montgomery County Job Center, 1111 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., around 6:50 a.m. on an entrapment crash.

When they arrived, the driver was not entrapped but was stuck because the vehicle door was against the sign.
The driver, whose identity was not yet released, was the only occupant and no children were involved, Dayton police said. He was placed in handcuffs and transported in an ambulance.
The second car was not at the scene when crews arrived.
UPDATE @ 7:15 a.m.:
According to our crew on scene, a person was arrested and then placed in the ambulance to be transported.
The southbound lanes of South Edwin C. Moses Boulevard are currently closed.
