Fairborn city officials will hold a second informational meeting on a proposed income tax increase on Monday, Jan. 27.

Monday’s meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Rona Community Church, at 1082 Rona Parkway Drive.

The city announced the meetings earlier this week, but originally didn’t have a location for the Monday session. City Manager Rob Anderson and Mayor Paul Keller will host the informational meetings.

The additional revenue garnered from the income tax would be earmarked for public safety operations. City Manager Rob Anderson said that city staff determined the additional funding is needed to maintain police and fire operations.

The city is proposing levying an additional half a percent, bringing Fairborn’s income tax rate from 1.5% to 2%.
