Crews found a fire that started on the porch of the unit and spread into the structure. The fire caused damage to mainly one unit, however damage to other units on the first and second floors were also reported, according to Riverside Battalion Chief Shon Smith.

The cause of the fire appeared to be discarded smoking materials on the porch that were not completely extinguished, Smith said.

The family in the unit, comprised of two adults and two children, will be displaced due to the damage. The occupants of other units will not be displaced, firefighters said.

No injuries were reported.
