Middletown police are investigating the cases of three missing Middletown women, two who have been missing since last year and another reported missing last week.

One of the missing women had helped detectives in their search for Lindsay Bogan, who had been missing for months before her remains were found last summer in a Madison Twp. field.

Missing now are: Brandy English, 41, first reported missing in May; Amber Flack, 30, on Sept. 1, and Melinda (Oney) Miller, 47, on Feb. 19.

Lt. Jim Cunningham said all three women are known to police for drug use and prostitution, as was Bogan, and that lifestyle may be a factor in their missing status.

But that does not mean police detectives haven’t investigated.

“We are in contact with direct family members in these cases,” Cunningham said. “We are following up on leads and served multiple search warrants.”

Cunningham said there is no sign of foul play or any type of crime.

“They are missing persons at this point,” Cunningham said, noting adults can disappear without calling family members. The transient lifestyle of the women can make finding them difficult.

“We have have heard Brandy is hiding out in Lemon Twp. because of the Lindsay Bogan case,” Cunningham said.

He added the Bogan case was different because, although the young mother also had a lifestyle of drugs and prostitution, people were less than truthful from the beginning about what happened to her.

In the past few months, detectives have interviewed a number of people about English and served search warrants looking for her or information about her whereabouts, Cunningham said.

There have been reports this week that Miller was seen at the UDF on Breiel, in connection with a shoplifting report.

“We have detectives reviewing the surveillance tape to see if it was her,” Cunningham said.

English is described as white, 5 feet and 5 inches tall, and weighing 145 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. Flack is described as white, 5 feet and 9 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Miller is described as white, 5 feet and 2 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.

Cunningham said English’s disappearance may be connected to the Bogan case, “but we have also received information she was going to Florida.”

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of any of these women is asked to contact Middletown police at 513-425-7700.

Detectives continue to investigate Bogan’s death as a homicide and are gathering evidence related to the residence on Woodlawn Avenue, where they believe she was killed. Detectives searched 1504 Woodlawn several times last year.
