DETAILED FORECAST

TODAY: Cloudy skies will remain in place into the afternoon but some sunshine is expected before the end of the day, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones.

Highs today will reach the lower to middle 50s.

Dry conditions continue into tonight with clear skies expected overnight and lows in the upper to middle 30s.

WEDNESDAY: The day will start off dry with clouds increasing quickly into the afternoon. Highs will push to the upper 50s and widespread rain arrives into the afternoon and evening with heavy rain expected at times.

A stray thunderstorm is possible with the rain moving through at night.

THURSDAY: There will be some dry time in the morning. A  will lift and provide more rain. Some heavy downpours and even a few thunderstorms possible into the night. Highs near 70 with gusty winds at times up to 35 mph into the evening.

FRIDAY: A strong front will be moving through in the morning with heavy rain early. It will be a very mild start in the upper 60s, but it'll turn colder as we dry out into the afternoon. Wind gusts will be up to 35 mph for the first half of the day. At night it will be dry and cooler.

SATURDAY: More sunshine will return, but it will still be a cooler weekend. More sunshine returns with highs only around 40 which is about 10 degrees below normal.
