Fire crews respond to trailer fire behind Riverside Dollar General

Fire crews responded to reports of a fire in the 2400 block of Marshfield Street in Riverside, behind the Valley Pike Dollar General.

On arrival, firefighters observed visible flames in the trailer, and were able to bring the fire under control in a little over an hour. Nobody was hurt, and it is believed that the trailer is vacant.

Initial reports indicated that there was difficulty connecting to the water system, as the closest hydrant was out of order and the next closest reportedly ruptured after use.

Officials from the water department were called to the location after the fire was out.
