Occupants displaced after fire damages Miami County home

UPDATE @ 1:20 p.m.: 

A Bethel Twp. home sustained significant damage after a fire broke out Friday morning.

No one was home when the fire broke out in the house in the 2300 block of West Charleston Road around 11:40 a.m. Officials said the homeowner left the house to run an errand shortly before the fire started.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries have been reported.

The occupants of the home will be displaced and assistance from the Red Cross has been requested.

Several surrounding departments responded to battle the blaze.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters have responded to a house fire on West Charleston Road in Bethel Twp.

The fire was reported in the 2300 block of West Charleston around 11:40 a.m.

Initial reports indicated fire was showing from the house.
