Flood warnings, some extended, others canceled

Heavy rain and melting snow have caused local rivers to rise above flood stage and prompted flood warnings.

A flood warning for the LIttle Miami River has been extended until 1 p.m. Saturday. The Great Miami River was at 10.3 feet at 4 p.m. Friday, the flood stage is 10 feet.

The flood warning for Miamitown near Cincinnati has been extended until Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

River levels are expected to subside overnight and in to Saturday morning.

At 11 a.m. the Little Miami River was at 17.5 feet. Flood stage is 16 feet. The level is expected to rise to 18.6 feet by Friday night.
