Recent heavy rains have again resulted in flooding of two popular, public areas in Miami County.

The Great Miami River is out of its banks at Treasure Island in Troy. The water is up to the edge if the amphitheater in the recently renovated city park.

The Boathouse Restaurant remains accessible and open for business. The city dedicated the two-million-dollar improvement to the site a year ago.

Just three miles north of Treasure Island, the Mark Knoop Baseball Complex, used by hundreds of Little League baseball players, is underwater. It is yet unknown if there is damage to the fencing.

Both Treasure Island and the baseball fields are located in the flood plain and are prone to repeated flooding.
