Crystal L. Hutton, 37, of Piqua died after being transported to Troy Kettering Hospital, although medics were able to regain a pulse after administering two shocks at the jail.

Corrections staff and a jail nurse, too, worked to revive the woman through C.P.R and one shock before medics were on scene.

There is no evidence of foul play; a medical indecent is suspected.

Hutton displayed no signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

Hutton had been housed in a single cell since her incarceration on March 4 of 2020.

The investigation will continue until the autopsy results are received, which could be several weeks, the Miami County Sheriff said in a release.
