Moving to Dayton from Virginia for a career and educational opportunity at Wright Field, it wasn’t long before Bossmann put herself to work at the Dayton Steel Factory during WW II and became the aid to the chief engineer.
“War changes everyhing. That’s why my life is dedicated to peace. … Early on, of special interest to me when reading the DDN was reading about local businesses such NCR, job shops, Wright Field and Patterson Field. I had a particular interest in articles about War and Peace since WWII had just ended. When our three daughters were born, the DDN provided us important information about school activities and church activities that was extremely helpful.”
