The National Weather Service in Wilmington is predicting sub-freezing temperatures as low as 31 degrees, which will cause frost that will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, as well as potentially damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Overnight cold will cause a frosty morning, but otherwise it will be a clear and sunny day with highs near 54 degrees. Tonight, skies will stay mostly clear with a low of around 40 degrees.

Tomorrow, clouds will come back in, along with a chance of afternoon showers. Otherwise highs will reach near 57 degrees during the day and drop to around 38 degrees overnight.

To start the work week, the weather will once again clear, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 57 degrees during the day, and partly cloudy skies with a low near 43 degrees at night.
