The Ohio Department of Transportation will also place a portable message sign on I-675 to alert base traffic that Gate 15A will be open.
Roloson said, the ramp to northbound S.R. 444 and the right lane closure on S.R. 844 will not be closed until after 9 a.m. on July 6 to allow base traffic to clear out. Once the ramp is closed, the message board will be placed on I-675 near the Area B sign.
Although commuters may possibly encounter single-lane restrictions and detours, they can still access the main gate using the exit on S.R. 844 prior to Col. Glenn Highway.
“Single-lane restrictions will be in effect on S.R. 844 North at the overpass, with the northbound right lane on S.R. 844 closed for seven days beginning July 6, followed by the left lane, which will then be closed for seven days beginning July 13,” according to the ODOT website.
The website also says, those using S.R. 844 will be detoured using three roads until the construction is complete: University Drive, Col. Glenn Highway and West Dayton-Yellow Springs Road.
Therefore, Roloson suggests that the commuters who use Col. Glenn Highway follow the highway to the traffic circle, turn onto Kauffman Avenue after entering it and then turn left at Dayton-Yellow Springs Road onto S.R. 444 to access the main base.
