The Girl Scouts researched, planned and built the table with its accessories for their Bronze Award project. It will feature colored popsicle sticks and buttons, pinwheels, toy cars, and scented platters and textures from moss to tile.
The girls said they wanted to ensure all children at Kleptz have the opportunity to play with toys that bring them joy and meet their needs.
“You learn to make the community better and make the world a better place through kindness,” said Girl Scout Brianna Abels.

Molly Magoteaux, a teacher in the multiple disabilities classroom at Kleptz, said the project will be utilized by a classroom of students with diverse needs.
“It will be the perfect way to engage each student to fulfill needs or wants that can’t always be met within the classroom, and add a little fun in it, too,” she said.
All girls in Troop 34225 are in fifth grade and attend elementary schools in the Northmont School District.
