No boys will be part of Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio issued a statement today that it remains committed to an all-girl, girl-led and girl-friendly environment.

The Boy Scouts of America today made public that it soon will admit girls and allow them to earn the Eagle Scout rank.

Boys joining the Girl Scouts is not open for discussion.

The Girl Scouts statement also notes that the organization has the Gold Award as its highest level of achievement.

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio serves a 32-county area, including Auglaize, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Warren counties.
