The shelter has already found homes for four dogs, all labeled Puppy Bowl Adoptions, since announcing on Tuesday they are one of 200 to be featured during Animal Planet's popular show.

Puppy Bowl XIV will feature "Team Ruff vs. Team Fluff" and is scheduled to broadcast 3 to 5 p.m. ahead of the game on Super Bowl Sunday. The pre-recorded event will feature 90 adoptable puppies from 48 shelters.

Be sure to follow the local pups from the Animal Friends Humane Society in Hamilton that will be vying for the Chewy.com Lombarky Trophy, the Most Valuable Puppy title, and of course, the chance to be adopted. The local mixed-breed pups — Teddy, Boomer and Bubbles — have already found "forever homes," according to Meg Stephenson, executive director of the Butler County shelter.

Staff members in Greene County will be providing a live feed on Facebook that may appear on Animal Planet during the Puppy Bowl broadcast, according to Julie Holmes-Taylor, Greene County’s new animal control director.

Holmes-Taylor said they received promotional materials as part of a package to encourage and promote adopting a companion animal from the shelter.

“They will pick up our clips feeds and Facebook posts on our adoptable animals and adoptions to promote us and our animals,” she said.
