Greenon students report breathing issues after substance sprayed in classroom

Several Greenon High School students reported breathing issues after something was sprayed in a classroom Thursday afternoon.

Around 2:45 p.m., medics and fire crews were dispatched to the school, located in the 3900 block of S. Tecumseh Road, after about 30 students started coughing and reported breathing issues, according to initial reports.

Initial reports indicate pepper spray could be the cause.

Students had already been dismissed for the day when the incident was reported.
