The 88th Security Forces Squadron will accept expired Department of Defense common access cards (CACs) or uniformed services ID cards (such as those issued to dependents or retirees) if the printed expiration date is on/after Jan. 1, 2020. This exception will remain in place until further notice.

An expired CAC or USID that fails to electronically verify may not be accepted but shall not be confiscated unless believed to be counterfeit. Expired credentials of any other type remain subject to confiscation.

That stated, effective April 1, 2020, the 88th Force Support Squadron has decreased services to retirees and dependents, and only offer the following:

• New DEERS enrollment (i.e., new spouse, child);

• DEERS extended eligibility for full-time college students;

• New Medicare recipient ID cards.

Updated guidance regarding services provided to those in essential mission functions is now in effect:

• CACs will be serviced that are expired, corrupt, expiring within the next 7 days or new civilian hires.

• Schedule an appointment by calling the FSS Customer Support main line at 937-522-3664.

• No walk-ins except for lost cards and pin-resets.

• Those promoting on April 1 must wait until there is no longer a mission-essential priority.
