Gunshot victim walks to hospital, tells Dayton police he was robbed

A gunshot victim who walked to Miami Valley Hospital on Monday afternoon said he he was the victim of a robbery in the area of Germantown Pike and Danner Avenue in Dayton.

The 22-year-old gunshot victim arrived at the hospital just after 5 p.m. He had been shot in the arm, according to a sergeant with Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

Dayton police have since issued a broadcast to area police agencies to be on the lookout for the suspect, who was last seen heading south on Miami Chapel Road.

According to police, the suspect is 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, was wearing a black hoodie and was armed with a black automatic handgun.
