The motorcycle traveled off the east side of the road where he struck a guardrail post. Courtney was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact, according to authorities.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hamilton County Sheriff investigators report Courtney was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash. Investigators say it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
