Miami Twp. police are seeking help in finding a car stolen at gunpoint from its owner outside the Dayton Mall this past weekend.

The carjacking occurred about 1:40 p.m. Saturday when a man approached an Englewood woman in the mall’s north parking outside of Macy’s and pulled a handgun on her, according to police.

The car is a four-door, 2012 Buick Regal with black with chrome wheels, tinted windows and a sunroof, police said.

The Ohio license plate number is GQA 6783. Anyone who sees this car is asked to call Miami Twp. police immediately at 937-225-4357.

Miami Twp. Police Department Public Information Officer Pat McCoy said recovery of the car – even if it is abandoned – may be important in arresting the thief.

Carjackings “are quite solvable if we get some evidence,” he said.
