Two headstones at Bear Creek Hillgrove Cemetery were found covered in black graffiti.
The spray paint was so heavy that it was difficult to read the names engraved on the headstones.
Volunteers were out at the cemetery Thursday with power washers to help clean up the damage.
Police responded to the cemetery Wednesday evening, according to dispatch records.
