Mike Schueler said the acquisition will give Henkle Schueler a larger operating presence in the greater-Cincinnati marketplace and set the company up for greater expansion down the road.
“Dunn Real Estate Group is the other largest locally owned, independent real estate broker in Lebanon,” Schueler said. “We are thrilled to be able to work with a group of high-quality, intelligent agents.” Schueler said the sale would increase Henkle Schueler’s capacity by nearly 50 percent. The company will now have a staff of 30 agents.
Daryl Dunn, the former owner of Dunn Real Estate Group, will serve as Chief Operating Officer for Henkle Schueler. Henkle Schueler employee Brad Knapp was named the Chief Executive Officer.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Schueler said no employee would lose their job as a result of the acquisition.
“Just the opposite, this is part of an expansion movement and won’t be the last step we take,” Schueler said.
Henkle Schueler and Associates was founded by George Henkle in 1935. Schueler became chairman and CEO of the firm in 1976, guiding its expansion throughout southwest Ohio. The company brokered the land deal that created Kings Island amusement park, the Beach Water park and the Mercy Regional Wellness Centers in Fairfield and Anderson Twp. The company has officers on South Broadway in downtown Lebanon and on Fujitec Drive.
Dunn Real Estate Group was founded by Dunn in 2005, primarily managing residential business as well as commercial and various large farm properties.
Officials with the company would not discuss the purchase price.
