Want to live downtown? Here's what Dayton apartments cost

Just as there’s no such thing as a free lunch, there’s no such thing as a free apartment, and rental rates have risen as downtown’s housing market continues to shine. Downtown has the region’s highest apartment occupancy rate at 97.5 percent.

If you want to rent downtown, here’s some good information to know about some prominent apartment buildings and complexes.

It’s important to note that prices may vary at some apartments, such as the Cannery Lofts Apartments and The Landing, which determine prices daily based on data including lease expiration, notices and available units. Rental quotes can only be good for 24 hours at some places.

Water Street flats

427 Water St.

Cost: Studio, $825 (533 SF); one-bedroom apartments range from $975 to $1,280 (sizes 699 to 950 SF); two-bedrooms cost $1,220 to $1,864 (sizes 923 to 1,242 SF).
