ID of Hillclimb participant who died released

UPDATE @10:30 a.m. 10/13/2014:

The identity of a participant killed Sunday in the Devil's Staircase Hillclimb has been released. Todd D. Libhart, of Maytown, Penn., died when the motorcycle he was riding flipped over and landed on top of him, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

FIRST REPORT 10/12/2014:

A participant in the Devil's Staircase Hillclimb on Sunday died of his injuries following a crash.

The man was conscious when he was taken from the event, but he died in an ambulance en route to a hospital in Hamilton County, said Lt. Chris Miller of the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

The motorcylist's name, age or hometown were not available Sunday night.

"Our detectives are doing the investigation," he said, but further information would not be available until Monday.

The 65th annual Devil's Staircase Hillclimb was presented by the Dayton Motorcycle Club. The event features racing up a steep dirt hill by specially designed motorcycles, according to the event website. It was the season finale of the 2014 AMA Pro Hillclimb.
