Police are working to determine who was driving a vehicle that hit a parked car in Sidney on Tuesday night, a car in which a homeless man was living.

The hit-and-run occurred about 9 p.m. near the Alpha Community Center, 330 E. Court St., Sidney police confirm.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the parked car fled the scene.

Late Tuesday night, a Sidney police lieutenant said police are examining the vehicle to see if they can determine who was driving it and who owns it. The force of the crash left the vehicle on its side.

The homeless man, who was in the car that was hit, was not injured. The police department is working with social service agencies to find the man lodging for the night, the officer said.
