The Indian Lake State Park’s 4th of July fireworks show is happening thanks to a private property owner.

The Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce announced the news in a Facebook post Friday stating that through the cooperation of a private property owner, local volunteers, officials at the lake, local law enforcement, fire department officials and Zambelli Fireworks the show will take place.

The fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. Saturday July 4 on a private property along the south bank across state Route 366 between Paradise Island and Township Road 239.

The show was initially canceled by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources due to coronavirus health concerns.

Future Facebook posts from the Indian Lake Chamber will inform visitors how the change in location will affect vehicle traffic, pedestrians along the bike path and boats viewing from the shore.
