UPDATE @ 5:30 p.m.:

Both I-75 north and south closed for over two hours Sunday afternoon once the snow began to fall. It was closed due to over a dozen crashes minutes apart between the Miami-Shelby County line to Troy.

There were numerous injuries, and interstate traffic rerouted through downtown Piqua and Troy.

It appears the icy conditions caught city, county and state crews off guard, but plow and salt trucks got out as quick as possible.
