A 38-year-old Jamestown man is facing multiple charges for allegedly having an illicit sexual relationship with a teenage girl for approximately two years.

Ryan Wesley Ellis Sr. is charged with 10 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony, in Xenia Municipal Court.

Ellis was arrested Feb. 7, the same day the alleged victim, a 16-year-old girl, went to the sheriff's office to report "an inappropriate sexual relationship with an older man," according to Detective Kelly Edwards' statement of facts on file with the court.

The girl told the detective that the relationship began approximately two years ago when she was 14, according to court records. The girl told investigators the last time sexual conduct occurred between her and the suspect was two days prior.

"This last act of sexual conduct with Ellis was against her will, and that is why she came to the Greene County Sheriff's Office today," Edwards' report reads.

On the day of his arrest, Ellis sent the girl more than 150 text messages, which "went into detail about the sexual relationship between the two," according to Edwards' report.

Sexual conduct occurred at the girl's home in Xenia and at Ellis' home of record in Jefferson Twp. near Jamestown, according to court records.
