Hubbell met with lawyers for the Village of Waynesville, along with the the local school district, via teleconference to find a solution to the dispute.

The festival is said to draw 100,000 people a year to Warren County.

Afterward, Hubbell said he had reviewed changes sought to the agreements, one regarding the use of village police for security.
Mayor Dave Stubbs said the dispute was in part due to miscommunication over the rules set for all village festivals and events after last year’s festival.

This year’s festival is scheduled for Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 in downtown Waynesville.
