The former Miamisburg Middle School teacher was convicted by the Montgomery County jury in April 2018 in connection with a May 2017 incident with a 14-year-old boy in her classroom.
Sentencing on the decision by the panel of eight men and four women was handed down by Judge Timothy O’Connell, who said Langford should spent a year in the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
Upon release, O’Connell ordered Langford to register as a Tier III sex offender, meaning she must register her address with her local sheriff’s office every 90 days, and serve five years of probation.
Langford is a University of Dayton graduate who worked as a student teacher in Dayton Public Schools before being hired by Miamisburg.
