Sheriff’s deputies from Greene County say the juvenile was turning off the track at the conclusion of the race when the vehicle’s brakes gave out, causing the car to crash into a wall.

Crews were dispatched to the raceway, located at 1166 Dayton-Xenia Road, and had to extricate the young driver from the car by cutting off the roof around 3 p.m.

His injuries were minor and non-life threatening, sheriff’s said, stating the juvenile appeared to be more shaken up than hurt. He was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for precaution.
