LIVE COVERAGE: Demonstrators gather at Beavercreek Walmart to call for justice

More than 100 demonstrators have gathered outside the Beavercreek Walmart to advocate for social justice.

A March for Justice is scheduled today from noon to 3 p.m. The march was scheduled to start and end at the Walmart on Pentagon Boulevard.

Protesters began to march after they gathered at Walmart. They carried signs and umbrellas as they walked and chanted “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

A March for Justice will take place Saturday, June 13, from noon to 3 p.m. The march will start and end at the Walmart on Pentagon Boulevard. Marchers will meet outside the store, 3360 Pentagon Blvd., near the lawn and garden side.

The protests come at a time of growing unrest in cities across America ignited by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Floyd died while in police custody.
