Throughout the more than 15 minutes call, Kennedy seemed to be hysterical, demanding that the dispatcher send help and attempted to wake her husband.
At the beginning of the call when the dispatcher asked her what happened, Kennedy seemed confused.
"My husband, I don’t know what happened,” she said hysterically and crying. “We had a fight, but I don’t know what happened, please come.”
When the dispatcher asked again her what happened to her husband she said it appears that he’s been shot. She could be heard calling her husband, saying, “Gary, Gary, Gary, please, baby, come on.”
The dispatcher then asked if she had a gun, and Kennedy responded initially that “he’s gone” but subsequently said no when asked again. Then she said, “he was violent before, but he’s dead. I’m trying to resuscitate him. ...He pulled out a gun and he turned it on me and I shot him.”
Later in the call, Kennedy could be heard trying to wake her husband up, repeatedly calling his name and asking him to wake up and saying she loves him and she’ll always be true to him.
