‘In loving memory of Dale’ — man killed in Celina tornado remembered, funeral arrangements set

Funeral arrangements for a Celina man killed when an EF3 tornado touched down have been announced.

Dale Hanna, 82, will be laid to rest on Saturday. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. at Cisco Funeral Home, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m.

Hanna was a frequent customer at the Celina Bob Evans, and servers knew his order by heart, according to our partners at 10TV.

Wednesday morning, servers placed a cup of coffee on his table with a sign — In Loving Memory of Dale.

“He was the sweetest man you could ever meet. We called him sweet Dale. Yeah, sweet Dale, yeah,” the servers told 10TV. “He always had a smile, even if he didn’t feel well. Just everyone, everyone loved Dale.”

Hanna worked for many years as a contractor and managed a building supply store, according to his obituary. He was a member of Abounding Grace Ministries in Celina, Gideons, MAPS and actively built churches and helped families with construction projects.
