Crews were called to the 400 block of East Avenue on Thursday night and found Walker on the sidewalk. He was beyond medical help at that time, according to police.

The death of a man in Hamilton Thursday night was one of two shootings that happened in the city within hours.
The second shooting, which has not been termed fatal, happened in the 1100 block of South Second Street, according to Hamilton police.
Officers were still investigating the homicide scene in the 400 block of East Avenue when the second shooting happened.

INITIAL REPORT
A male found shot and wounded on the sidewalk in the 400 block of East Avenue Thursday night is dead and police have started a homicide investigation.
Police and a medic unit were dispatched about 9:15 p.m. Thursday on the report of a male who had been shot several times, according to Butler County Sheriff's dispatch.
A coroner's investigator was called to the scene.
The victim’s identity, possible suspect information, or what led to the shooting were not immediately released.
Hamilton police detectives are handling the investigation.
