Man arrested for weapon, drug charges

A man was arrested Wednesday on weapon and drug charges.

Robert Wright, 26, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, having weapons under disability, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and drug parapharnelia.

Wright, who has a suspended license, was driving with a gun next to the driver's seat, according to a Dayton police report. He is not allowed to have a gun because of prior felony drug convictions.

A box of empty gel caps, a large amount of cash and marijuana was also located.
