HAMILTON, Ohio -- Forty-three-year-old Charles Melvin Geiser of South Ninth Street pleads guilty to 12 felony counts involving child porn. Prosecutors say that some of it combined images of babies.
The Middletown Journal says he was slated to go on trial April 25 on 22 charges. But he pleaded guilty to over half of the charges instead. He will be sentenced May 25 by Butler County Common Pleas Judge Craig Hedric. He could be facing over 50 years in prison.
Assistant Butler County Prosecutor Jennifer McElfresh says the images downloaded onto Geiser's computer are of very young children and some infants that involve sexual activity.
"They are abhorrent," says McElfresh. "This is certainly in a category of its own."
Sgt. Mark Hayes, who investigated the case while assigned to the detective section, said the images involve the youngest victims he has ever seen.
