Man killed after being struck by two vehicles in Logan County

A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles in Logan County late Monday night, according to officials.

20-year-old Travis G. Ramos, of Bellefontaine, was riding his skateboard along State Route 47, west of milepost 12 in Bellefontaine around 10:55 p.m. when two vehicles hit him.

According to a release, a 2006 Honda Accord, driven by Timothy P. Wilson Jr., 27, of Bellefontaine, was traveling westbound on State Route 47 when he struck Ramos, who was riding his skateboard in the same direction. Ramos was ejected from his skateboard and into the path of a 2016 Hyundai Elantra that was traveling eastbound, driven by Charles R. Palmer, 43, of Bellefontaine.

Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene by the Logan County Coroners office.

State Route 47 was closed for approximately four hours due to the crash.

Both drivers of the vehicles that struck Ramos were not injured.

The Marysville Post of the Ohio Highway State Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
